The boat

A 1983 Hallberg Rassy 38. No. 161Although Nadine was in good order when we bought her, we have added a lot of new gear and replaced some items, whilst serviceable, had been on the boat since new and might fail during our travels. A meticulous and comprehensive refit was undertaken in the ten months prior to departure, and the few unfinished items were completed enroute.




The major additions and improvements included:-

New sails and inboom reefing system
Walden boom brake
Snuffers for the spinnaker and cruising chutes

New hot water system and taps throughout
Replaced gate valves with ball valves and renewed some skin fittings and hoses
